THANK YOU FOR WATCHING

Giving this a try again with just a little update since the big email that went a couple of weeks ago.

Don't expect anyone at all to see this and don't know that I'll check back real soon (again, internet stuff is slow and pricy) but just tinkering for now.

Since my birthday it's been a bit cooler around here. A little more
rain, a little more cloud cover and, though the humidity can still get
pretty thick, the wind is a little more in charge these days rather
than slight and retreating as I first came to know it.

The kids are now back at the school and classes should start in about
a week. Emily is there working with the teachers on their planning and
is actually encouraged so far this time around. Some of the younger
kids have gone to the school so they'll be missed by me and the
others. Still, those who are staying behind at the Center, continuing
Primary School, are - and they don't know it yet - going to benefit
from the addition of some regular volunteers who will be charged with
nothing more but a program of giving them structured attention. Books
will be read and drawings drawn. Chores will be done together in a
thoughtful way to encourage better behavior toward, well, upkeep.

I'm having a bit of a hard time - not that don't ever Not have a hard
time - with getting back to work. Though I'm keeping busy, I find I
just keep adding things to my To Do list (things, usually, that I've
just done) instead of ticking things off. Ah well. Meetings with the
other volunteer will begin this afternoon so I figure the time to get
it in gear is nigh. ;o)
